Camping & Holiday park De Uitwijk has the air of a small village that is far away from your busy, hasty, daily life. In the area around our park you can enjoy the silence. Biking, hiking, swimming, sailing, fishing, golfing and canoeing… you can do almost anything in the unique area of Camping & Holiday park De Uitwijk!

Hiking

Hikers can enjoy the area of the Dintelse Gorzen and the Slikken van de Heen, which is right around the corner. Via the bridge near the locks of Benedensas you arrive in this nature reserve between all kinds of large herbivores. You can wander around the dikes around De Heen and enjoy the beautiful nature.

Fishing

At Jachthaven de Schapenput you can launch your own boat or rent a silent boat and look for a great fishing spot. The Steenbergse Vliet is full of roach, carps and zanders. Even if you don’t catch anything, you can still unwind. Make sure you have the right fishing pass.

Biking

Our cycling network offers endless possibilities to make beautiful tours in Brabant and Zeeland. Enjoy the ‘new’ polder landscape and the ‘old’ sand soils.

Aquatics

Recreational area De Grevelingen is perfect for water sports enthusiasts. The open water is full of wind surfers and kite surfers, but is also perfect for sailing. It is safe to swim near the coast, so it is a perfect trip for the whole family.

Golfing

Golfing is becoming a big part of the holiday programme for lots of people. On a walking distance of 3 km there is a 9-hole golf course of Akkermans leisure & golf/Golfvereniging De Heensche. For those who want to travel a little further, there are a dozen golf courses in The Netherlands and two golf courses in Belgium in less than an hour away of De Heen.

Swimming

Camping & Holiday park De Uitwijk has a heated paddling pool, easy and closeby! If you want to travel a little further to swim, several outdoor and indoor swimming pools are only a 30 minute drive away.

Culture

Do you also want to engage in some cultural activities? Historical places like Willemstad, Bergen op Zoom and Antwerp are very closeby! Het Mauritshuis, Het Markiezenhof en Het Steen are definitely worth the visit. The city centre of Zierikzee is a protected cityscape and is always a welcoming city, even outside of high season.

Deltawerken

At the Deltawerken in Zeeland you will find a unique collection of hydraulic structures, of which the Dutch a very proud (and have every right to be). The exhibit at Deltapark Neeltje Jans shows the history of the Deltawerken from the flood in 1953 to the construction of the Deltawerken. Those who are very interested in this subject, can also visit the Watersnoodmuseum in Ouwerkerk.

Shopping

Want to go shopping? Antwerp and Rotterdam are only a 45 minute drive away! There are lots of different shops where you can literally shop till you drop. Don’t forget to go to the semi-annual sale in Antwerp or go to the Quartier Latin to find tons of unique boutiques that you wouldn’t find anywhere else.
